Moody & Alternative Styled ShootEmily Joanne Wedding Films & Photography
Words from Emily Joanne about the shoot:
“One of our favorite things about today’s bride is that she can truly be herself, and doesn’t have to conform to every tradition, while still being completely on trend. With this editorial bridal shoot we wanted to create something moody and beautiful for that bride looking to show off her unique sense of self and style. We started with a color palette, and the idea of a dark, smoky room as our canvass, and from there we collaborated with amazing vendors to create a look that is the perfect blend of vintage and modern.
With the bride’s look, we knew we wanted something alternative to a traditional bridal gown. I was obsessed with the idea of a yellow skirt, and after hours of scouring etsy we found this gorgeous shantung silk skirt by Breauxsews. I also knew I had to incorporate the gorgeous Etkie bracelets that just happen to be made locally by Native American craftsmen. (Their mission statement is amazing!) Topped off with the master of hair and makeup, Genica Lee, Makeup Artist, and her incredible talent, everything came together magically.”
