What to say when people tell you "You Won't Get to Eat" on your Wedding Day

Food for Thought

You have paid a lot for these guests to eat. Most likely, in the range of $6000, which might be only for dinner, or might be for the food and their chair, and table, etc. Either way, about $155/person—- It’s not a small amount!

So what should you say when your friend or mom or co-worker says “You better eat ahead of time! I didn’t get to eat, you won’t get to either!”?

Laugh and say “Oh, I’m not worried about that. I hired a wedding planner!”

*mic drop*

My true mission in life is to help people take care of themselves. To remove burdens so they have freedom to enjoy the experience and not have to worry about being somewhere at a certain time. When it’s time to eat, it’s time to eat. You get to eat too. It’s true that when you throw a party at home, and you’re the hostess, cleaning up after everyone, that you might not get to eat. But this is your wedding day. You should and will eat. On your birthday, you’re the first to be served cake, right? At your wedding, you’re the first one to receive dinner!

Enjoy it. Eat slowly and kiss your new spouse between bites. You have all night to say hello to people, to dance, to look at your beautiful cake. Enjoy the moment. It only happens once, even your wedding feast.

I’ll take care of the rest.
